Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • some butter-vanilla flavoring
  • 1 pack of lemon peel flavoring
  • 150 ml oil, neutral
  • 200 ml egg liqueur
  • 350 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • Breadcrumbs for the mold
  • some fat for the mold
  • 1 jar cherry(s), very well drained
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder (or 2 tbsp baking cocoa plus 1 tbsp sugar)
  • 1 shot of Amaretto
  • 50 g brittle or sliced ​​or chopped almonds

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

Alternative to Snow White cake with buttercream

Preheat electric oven to 160°C. Grease a ring tin with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Whisk the egg liqueur and oil together thoroughly. Using a hand mixer, combine with the salt, sugar, eggs, vanilla sugar, butter vanilla flavoring, and lemon zest. Add the flour and baking powder and mix in. Pour half of the batter into the tin. Arrange the cherries on top. Mix the remaining batter with the cocoa powder and Amaretto. If desired, stir in 50g of brittle or chopped/slivered almonds and fill the cherries. Place in the oven and bake for about 80 minutes on the second rack from the bottom (do the toothpick test!).
