Soft cheese with dried figs

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g Brie(s) de Meaux or other soft cheese
  • 5 figs, dried
  • 1 tbsp chives, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil (nut oil)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper, freshly ground
  • Honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

also suitable as an amuse gueule on the spoon, makes about 10 spoons

Cut the cheese (preferably well chilled) into small cubes and mix with the chives and oil. Season with salt and pepper, then chill the mixture for 1 hour. Slice the figs, trimming off any hard stems and any hard parts. Divide the cheese among amuse-bouches, arrange the fig pieces on top, and drizzle with a little honey to taste. You can, of course, use other soft cheeses, just make sure they aren’t too creamy, or they won’t slice well and will easily spread.
