Soft cheese with dried fruit

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 360 g cheese (soft cheese such as Tommes)
  • 100 g dried fruits, mixed
  • 1 dl grape juice
  • 3 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 1 tbsp almonds or hazelnuts, coarsely chopped
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • pepper
  • 16 half cherries (heart cherries)
  • 1 tbsp pistachios, finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 25 minutes

Bites, makes about 16 pieces

Marinate the dried fruit in grape juice for 1 to 2 hours. Remove and roughly chop. Mix with crème fraîche. Stir in the nuts and cinnamon and season with pepper. Halve the cheese horizontally and cut into bite-sized pieces. Spread the dried fruit mixture on top. Place half a cherry on each piece and sprinkle with pistachios. Thread the cheese pieces onto toothpicks. Serve chilled.
