Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g salami (fine salami)
  • 1 meat sausage
  • 500 g soup meat
  • 500 g sauerkraut
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 1 jar of pickles
  • 1 bag of spice mix for solyanka
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 3 allspice berries
  • 1 bottle of ketchup
  • salt and pepper
  • chili
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Cook the beef with allspice berries, bay leaves, and a pinch of salt until the lean meat flakes off easily. Remove the meat from the bone and reserve in a small bowl. Pour the broth into a container and set aside. Cut the salami and bologna into small cubes and fry with the beef. Season with salt and pepper. Now add the broth. Chop the bell pepper, onion, and cucumber and add with the sauerkraut. Add water if needed. Season with pepper and salt. Add a little sugar if desired. Season with chili and solyanka spice as desired. Simmer until the bell pepper is soft. Finally, add ketchup.
