Sour Cherry – Chocolate Cake
The perfect sour cherry – chocolate cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 g Butter or margarine
- 4 Eggs
- 180 g Sugar
- 100 g Nut nougat cream
- 125 g Ground hazelnuts
- 4 tbsp Rum
- 150 g Chocolate sprinkles
- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 180 g Flour
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 1 glass Sour cherries
- **********
- Powdered sugar
- Drain sour cherries and drain well
- Beat the margarine, eggs and sugar until frothy
- 3 … stir in the nut nougat cream, nuts, rum, chocolate sprinkles and cinnamon one after the other
- 4 … finally stir in the flour mixed with baking powder
- Grease a ring cake tin and crumble it if necessary …… fill in a third of the batter and cover with a few cherries, distribute the 2nd third of batter on top and cover with cherries again ….. Put the rest of the batter on the cherries and smooth out
- Bake the cake over medium heat for approx. 50 – 60 minutes.
- After cooling, dust with powdered sugar.
- Tip 8: the cake can also be baked wonderfully in a springform pan … then simply fill in the dough, smooth it out and cover with the drained cherries. Bake as indicated above.
