Sour Cream Muffins

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • Vanillin sugar
  • Salt
  • 190 g flour
  • 2 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 125 g sour cream (alternatively sour cream)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Prepare a batter from the ingredients in the order given. Fill into paper muffin cups or a greased muffin tin and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for approx. 25 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar and serve fresh. These muffins are not made using the classic method (where the batter is relatively runny and the flour is not mixed in completely smoothly). However, the higher fat content makes the sour cream muffins particularly moist and keeps them fresh longer. Tip: The next day, heat one muffin at a time in the microwave on the highest setting for 5 seconds; they will then taste like they’ve just come out of the oven.
