Sour cream potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 2 bay leaves
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 1 bunch of dill, or amount as needed
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel and dice the potatoes, then boil in salted water with the bay leaves until tender. Drain and reserve the stock. Melt the butter in a large pot, stir in the flour, and sauté the onions. Pour in the potato stock and simmer on low heat until smooth. Add the cooked potatoes and season with salt, pepper, and vinegar. Add a pinch of sugar. Combine the sour cream with the dill and stir into the potatoes. Heat again; do not boil again. Serve with meatloaf or bratwurst.
