Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 eggs
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 500 ml water
  • Salt
  • Potatoes)
  • Sugar
  • Bay leaf

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Hard-boil the eggs. Peel the potatoes and boil them. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour, and sauté. Pour in the water and bring to a boil until lump-free. Season with vinegar, salt, and sugar (if you prefer a more acidic flavor, just add more vinegar), add the bay leaf, and simmer covered for about 15 minutes. Peel the eggs and add them to the sauce. Bring back to a boil.
