Sour Wheels

The perfect sour wheels recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1000 ml Beef stock
  • 400 g Potatoes
  • 75 ml Brandy vinegar
  • 1 medium-sized Onion
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground caraway
  • 2 Pc. Bay leaves
  • 1 Pc. Cloves
  • 1 Pc. Allspice grains (ground)
  • Salt
  • Pepper from the grinder
  • Food starch
  • Rapeseed oil
  1. Cut the onions into small cubes. Peel the potatoes and cut into 3mm thick slices. Heat the oil in a pan, fry the onion cubes in it. Add a little sugar and tomato paste and fry briefly, deglaze with beef stock. Add the mustard and remaining spices. Add the potato slices and finish cooking over medium heat. Add the vinegar and set a little with a little cornstarch that was previously dissolved in water. Season with salt and pepper and you’re done. Remove the cloves and bay leaves before consumption.
