Recipe from the USA that is in no way inferior to KFC
In a medium bowl, combine the eggs and water and add hot sauce (amount and type to taste, depending on your preference and how spicy you like it). In a cup, combine the pepper, paprika, salt, and garlic powder. Rub the chicken pieces generously on both sides. Then dip them in the marinade until they are completely coated. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Remove the meat from the marinade and toss it in the sauce, shaking off any excess. You can also place the flour mixture in a freezer bag, place all the chicken pieces in it, shake well, and spread the flour on the outside with your hand until they are evenly coated. Fill a deep frying pan with about 2 cm of vegetable oil and heat. It should be hot, but not smoking. You can test whether it is hot with a drop of water. Place the chicken pieces skin-side down in the oil, not too many at once, and fry for about 4-5 minutes until browned and crispy. Then turn them over and fry for another 4-5 minutes. Of course, you can also do this in a deep fryer (200°C, approx. 10 minutes). Remove and drain on kitchen paper. Repeat until everything is fried. In the meantime, you can keep the finished chicken pieces warm in the oven.
