Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g spaetzle
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 500 g tomatoes, possibly cocktail tomatoes
  • 100 g smoked bacon
  • 100 g air-dried bacon
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 125 g mayonnaise
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 1 lemon(s), juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook spaetzle in plenty of salted water until al dente and drain. Hard-boil eggs, peel, and slice. Wash tomatoes and cut into eighths. Cut bacon into thin strips. Finely chop chives. Mix mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, and lemon juice, stir into the salad ingredients, and let it marinate, preferably overnight. My neighbor made this salad 35 years ago in home economics school.
