Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250g spaghetti
- 700 ml water
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 dash of olive oil
- 1 class can/n tomatoes, chopped
- 400 g leaf spinach (portioned in briquettes), frozen
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- oregano
- pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Pour water into a large Teflon-coated pan (yes, a pan! – about 28 cm in diameter with high sides), add salt and olive oil. When the water boils, add the spaghetti to the pan and simmer for about 3 minutes. In the meantime, peel both the onion and the garlic clove. Halve the onion and slice into fine strips, mince the garlic clove, and add both to the pan. Now add the tomatoes and simmer a little longer, setting the stove to medium heat. Season with oregano and pepper, then add the (presumably still frozen) spinach leaves. Turn occasionally and make sure the spaghetti is simmering rather than frying – most of the liquid will gradually be absorbed by the spaghetti. Note: This recipe is quite adaptable – you can add cream, etc., depending on your taste. Everyone has different tastes, right? I personally like this recipe because it’s quick and easy to prepare. It got its name because (almost) all the ingredients can be found at our favorite discount store.
