Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

sharp

Finely chop the garlic, onion, carrot, and chili pepper. Add most of the onion and the carrot to a pan with oil and sauté the onion over low heat until translucent. Add 1/3 of the chili pepper and 1/3 of the garlic. Meanwhile, add the remaining onions to the minced meat and season generously with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and paprika, and fry. Add 1/3 of the chili pepper and 1/3 of the garlic. Add the passata, tomato paste, and sambal oelek to the fried minced meat and bring to a boil briefly. Add 1/3 of the chili pepper and the rest of the garlic and season with a little basil. Add a little more seasoning if desired (for spice, add cayenne pepper or sambal oelek, but be careful, the spice comes a little later). Let the sauce reduce to the desired consistency. The longer the sauce simmers (still at low heat), the better it tastes. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in salted water as usual. You can add some Parmesan or grated cheese to the spaghetti and sauce.
