Seafood on lime-flavored spaghetti
Thaw the seafood slowly. Drain any liquid. Rinse the lime thoroughly and zest all around. Halve the lime and juice one half. Use a vegetable peeler to shave the Parmesan cheese from the piece. Cook the spaghetti al dente according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, peel the garlic and halve each clove lengthwise. Heat olive oil in a large pan and sauté the garlic briefly, but do not brown it. Add the thawed seafood and cook over medium heat for a few minutes. Add the tomato paste and sugar to the pan and stir well until evenly mixed. Season with salt to taste. Drain the spaghetti and transfer it to a large bowl. Add the lime zest, lime juice, and a little olive oil and mix thoroughly. Add the spaghetti to the pan and toss in the seafood until completely mixed. Arrange on plates, sprinkle with some Parmesan shavings, and serve immediately.
