Spaghetti with porcini mushroom and bacon sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g spaghetti
  • 15 g porcini mushrooms, dried
  • 0.38 liters of lukewarm water
  • 100 g bacon, streaky
  • 125 ml meat broth
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 5 tbsp sauce thickener
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the spaghetti in hot, salted water. Meanwhile, soak the mushrooms in about 3/8 l of lukewarm water. Meanwhile, dice the bacon and fry until crispy. Drain the mushrooms, reserving the liquid. Briefly sauté the mushrooms. Deglaze with the mushroom liquid and broth. Simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in the sour cream and bacon cubes, thickening with a sauce thickener if desired. Season to taste. Serve with the spaghetti.
