Spaghetti with tomato and shrimp sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g spaghetti made from durum wheat semolina, or whole wheat
  • 350 g shrimp(s)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 8 basil leaves
  • ½ handful of parsley
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Finely chop the garlic and herbs. Peel and dice the tomatoes. Rinse and drain the shrimp. Sauté the garlic in olive oil over medium heat. Stir in the shrimp and fry briefly. Add the diced tomatoes and the finely chopped basil leaves, season with salt and pepper, and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in salted water and serve with the sauce. Garnish with a basil leaf to serve.
