Spaghetti with tuna and tomato sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 can tuna in oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed
  • 250g spaghetti
  • salt water
  • salt and pepper
  • chili powder
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • ½ lemon(s), the juice
  • some parsley, if desired

a modified version of Jamie Oliver’s Spaghetti alla Puttanesca

Cook the spaghetti in salted water according to the package instructions. Fry the crushed garlic cloves and onion in all the tuna oil from the can. Then, tear the tuna apart a bit and add it. Pour the passata into the pan and mix everything together. Season to taste with chili powder, salt, pepper, and sweet paprika. If desired, you can sprinkle chopped or dried parsley over the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add 3 tablespoons of the pasta water. Drain the spaghetti, toss with the sauce, and serve.
