Spätzle with vegetables

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of spaetzle
  • 1 pack of vegetables (buttered vegetables)
  • 1 processed cheese
  • Milk, for deglazing
  • Spice(s), to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan, then brown the spaetzle. Add the buttered vegetables and let them brown well. When they’re nice and crispy, deglaze with milk. You can now add more vegetables as desired (e.g., carrot sticks, zucchini, or broccoli florets). Once everything is well browned, add a wedge of processed cheese and a little more milk for a more creamy texture. Seasonings aren’t really necessary, as everything is already well seasoned. I think you could also add salami, ham, or even turkey breast.
