Spelt bread with beer and carrots

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g spelt flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 handful of seeds and grains, mixed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 carrots
  • ½ liter of beer

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, rye, spelt, pistachios, and nuts are all suitable for the seed/grain mix. Combine all ingredients, except the beer and carrots, in a mixing bowl. Grate the carrots. Knead the dough with a dough hook, gradually adding more beer. Then add the grated carrots and continue kneading until everything is mixed in. Line a loaf pan with baking paper and fill with the dough. Brush the dough with water. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 35 minutes. Do the skewer test and bake a little longer if necessary.
