Spice Cookies

The perfect spice cookies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 125 g Butter
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 60 g Maple syrup
  • 100 g Walnuts
  • 250 g Flour
  • 0,25 tsp Ground cloves
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 0,25 tsp Ground ginger
  • 1 pinch Painted allspice
  • 100 g Whole milk couverture
  1. Bring the butter, syrup and sugar to the boil. Let the mixture cool down.
  2. Chop the walnuts, add to the mixture and stir in.
  3. Mix the flour with the spices, sieve on the cooled syrup mass and knead well.
  4. Shape the dough into a roll (approx. 2 – 3 cm in diameter), wrap in cellophane and place in the refrigerator overnight.
  5. Cut thin slices from the roll and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the oven preheated to 200 ° C for about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Let the biscuits cool down and dip half of them in couverture. The pictures are without chocolate.
