Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 chili peppers – 3 pieces, fresh
  • 4 juniper berries
  • 10 black peppercorns
  • ½ stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 2 cloves
  • 500 ml oil, tasteless

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 21 days; Total time approx. 21 days 10 minutes

(makes approx. 500 ml)

Rinse the chili peppers, pat them dry, and halve them crosswise. Lightly crush the juniper berries with the broad side of a kitchen knife. Place them in a bottle with the chili peppers and the remaining spices and pour on the oil. Let the spiced oil steep for 3 weeks. It tastes great in spicy salads with potatoes, pasta, rice, or meat.
