Beat the margarine with a hand mixer until fluffy, then alternately stir in the powdered sugar and eggs. Add the nuts, chocolate, cinnamon, and clove powder. Mix everything together well. Now attach the dough hook and mix in the candied orange peel, candied lemon peel, and raisins. Sift the flour with the baking powder and add to the mixture, kneading everything well. It’s normal for the dough to be very stiff. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat: 160°C). Grease a baking tray, line it with baking paper, and spread the dough on it. This is a bit tedious, but if you repeatedly dip the scraper in water, it becomes a little easier. Make sure the dough is a fairly even thickness on the tray. Place the tray in the hot oven for about 20 minutes. Immediately after removing it from the oven, cut the dough into small rectangles (about 3 cm x 2 cm) and let it cool slightly. Now melt the chocolate coating in a water bath and dip one end of each slice into the chocolate, letting it drip dry. The cookies can break easily, so avoid using a brush to coat them. The chocolate should only cover 1/3 of the slice at most. Let everything dry and store in a sealable container.
