Spicy and Hot Pasta Salad with Prawns
The perfect spicy and hot pasta salad with prawns recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For steaming:
- 2 Eggs, size M
- 1 tbsp Flour
- 1 pinch Chicken broth, Kraft bouillon
- 1 pinch Black pepper from the mill
- 4 small Onions, red ones
- 2 medium-sized Cloves of garlic, fresh
- 1 small Carrot
- 1 small Chilli pepper (s), green, fresh or frozen
- 5 tbsp Sunflower oil
- 30 g Glass noodles, dried, China, (type spagetti)
- 2 small Chilli pepper (s), red, fresh or frozen
- 60 g Water
- 1 tsp Chicken broth, Kraft bouillon
For the dressing:
- 4 tbsp Kecap Tim Ikan, (see attachment)
- 1 tbsp Vinegar, black, chinese
- 1 Lime, just the juice of it
- 2 tbsp Orange juice
- 2 tbsp Broth, from steaming
- 1 tsp Tomato paste
- 1 tsp Sugar, whiter, finer
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil, light
To garnish:
- 1 tbsp Celery leaves, fresh or frozen
- The fried red chillies
Preparations:
- Let the prawns defrost in the package. Cap and peel the small onions and cloves of garlic at both ends. Cut the onions into small pieces. Squeeze the garlic cloves. Wash the small, green chilli, cut into thin slices, leave the grains in place, discard the stem. Place the onions, garlic, and the green chilli in a larger bowl.
- Wash the carrot, cut off both ends, peel, peel 20 strips approx. 8 cm long with the peeler, and put them ready.
The egg noodles:
- Open the eggs in a sufficiently large container, add a pinch of chicken stock and pepper and whisk together with 1 tbsp of the sunflower oil and flour until homogeneous. Fry 3 pancakes from the egg mixture with 1 – 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil. Avoid getting brown! Roll up the cooled pancakes individually, cut across into 6 mm wide noodles and keep them ready.
The glass noodles:
- Cook the glass noodles in approx. 300 g salted water for 4 – 6 minutes (note the cooking instructions on the package!). Strain and cut into smaller pieces with scissors.
The chilli oil:
- Heat the rest of the sunflower oil in a pan, fry the red chili peppers in it (do not let them turn black!), Remove. Pour the hot oil over the onions, garlic and chilli.
Steam prawns:
- Put the thawed prawns in a colander and steam over a little water with a pink lid.
Complete:
- Mix the ingredients for the dressing and add to the onions. Add the chopped glass noodles, the pancake and carrot strips and the prawns to the oil and spice mixture. Stir, season to taste, garnish and serve at room temperature.
