Spicy Baking: Käs-Schneckers

The perfect spicy baking: käs-schneckers recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 piece Puff pastry sheets, rectangular
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Sunflower oil
  • 2 teaspoon Fig mustard
  • 4 tablespoon Freshly grated Parmesan
  1. Peel the onion and slowly fry in the oil until golden.
  2. Thaw the puff pastry sheets and spread three-quarters of the parmasan cheese on a sheet. Place the other plate on top and then roll out with the rolling pin.
  3. Spread the mustard very thinly on the rolled out puff pastry, spread the onions on top and then roll up the pastry from the long side.
  4. Approx. Cut 1 cm thick slices, place them on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper and bake at 160 degrees convection for about 20 minutes until the cheese has melted and slowly begins to take on color.
