Spicy bell peppers with tofu

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g tofu or smoked tofu
  • 600 g red bell pepper(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 red chili pepper(s)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 500 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp curry powder, hot
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 100 ml soy cream (Soy Cream Cuisine) or oat cream
  • salt and pepper
  • Soy sauce
  • Coconut oil or rapeseed oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

hearty vegetarian

Cut the tofu into small cubes and fry in coconut oil for about 5 minutes. Remove from the pan. Dice the bell pepper. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Dice the chili pepper. Heat a little oil and fry the vegetables for about 10 minutes. Dust with flour and deglaze with the broth. Add the paprika and curry powder. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Finely chop the chives. Add the tofu and cream and season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce. Sprinkle the bell peppers with chives and serve. Dumplings go well with the vegetables.
