Spicy Carrot Cake

- 180 g Raw cane sugar
- 2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 0,25 tsp Clove powder
- 1 pinch Salt
- 100 ml Sunflower oil
- 200 g Turkish yogurt 10%
- 1 Vanilla pod, the pulp
- 75 g Grated carrots
- 150 g Powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp Lemon juice
- Put the flour together with the sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, clove powder and salt in a bowl and mix well.
- Put the oil, yoghurt and vanilla pulp in a large bowl and stir well, then add the grated carrots and mix in. Now add the flour mixture in 3 parts to the yogurt mixture and stir -. please do not use the mixer or any other electrical device. And only stir in until the ingredients have just mixed.
- Grease a springform pan with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs and preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Now put the dough in the mold and smooth it out and bake for 35 – 45 minutes – stick test. Then let it cool down in the mold for about 15 minutes and then take it out of the mold and let it cool down completely.
- Mix the icing sugar and lemon juice and pour over the cake – if you like, you can add some food coloring to the icing, just like me.
