Spicy Chicken Wings

Using a small, sharp knife, score the skin of each wing once or twice and push a slice of garlic under the skin. Brush the wings with the oil. Mix all the spices and herbs in a bowl. Add the wings and shake until they are lightly coated. Preheat the oven grill to 230°-240°C and grill the chicken wings for about 10-15 minutes on each side, until cooked through and the skin is crispy and almost blackened. Cooking on a charcoal grill also takes up to 15 minutes per side. Garnish with the lemon/lime slices and squeeze the juice over the wings, if desired. The spices can, of course, be varied depending on how spicy you prefer. Tip: You can also use breast or thigh pieces as an alternative.
