Ingredients for 100 servings:

  • 500 g flour (wheat flour, type 405)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 250 g powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp cardamom, ground
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg blossom, ground
  • 1 pinch of clove(s), ground
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g butter
  • 200 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 200 g dark chocolate coating
  • Flour , for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Sift the flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl. Add the sifted powdered sugar, salt, cinnamon, cardamom, mace, cloves, and eggs. Cut the butter into pieces and add it with the hazelnuts. Knead the ingredients thoroughly and form into a ball. Chill the dough for about 30 minutes. Roll out the dough to about 5 mm thick and cut out half-moons. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes. Then let cool. Melt the chocolate coating in a water bath. Dip the ends of the half-moons into the chocolate and let them dry.
