Spicy fig jam with ginger

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g fig(s), fresh
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 1:1
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 2 tsp lemon zest, grated
  • 1 tsp clove(s)
  • 100 g ginger sticks, candied

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 24 minutes

Dice the figs and chop the ginger. Combine the gelling sugar, diced figs, ginger, lemon zest, and cloves in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil gently for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
