Spicy Gnocchi Gratin

The perfect spicy gnocchi gratin recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 150 g Gnocchi – recipe see my KB: http://www./rezept/504448/Gnocchi-in-Gorgonzola-Sauce.html
  • 1 Red Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 100 ml Vegetable stock
  • 2 tbsp Ajva
  • 1 tbsp Sambal Oelek
  • 100 ml Cream
  • Salt
  • Olive oil
  • 50 g Grated mountain cheese
  1. Heat some olive oil in a saucepan and fry the onion and garlic until translucent. Then deglaze with the vegetable stock and add the ajvar and the sambal oelek – please determine the degree of spiciness yourself. Now add the cream and simmer for about 5 minutes and then season with salt.
  2. Then pour the sauce into an ovenproof dish, add the gnocchi and sprinkle with the cheese and then let it gratinate in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
