Spicy goulash

Spread the love

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 kg pork goulash
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • 2 onions
  • 1 can of tomato paste
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth, instant
  • 1 can of mushrooms
  • 1 can chanterelles
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, (1 tbsp noble sweet + 1 tsp rose hot)
  • marjoram
  • Water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the meat into bite-sized pieces and sear in the margarine. Add the finely chopped onions and sear. Then add the paprika to the pot. Add water (enough to cover the meat), cover, and simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes. Then add the tomato paste and vegetable stock to the goulash and continue to simmer. Finally, add the mushrooms and season with mustard, salt, pepper, paprika, and marjoram. Boiled potatoes and Brussels sprouts go very well with this dish. Tip: I usually prepare the goulash the evening before so it can marinate well—it tastes even better.
