  • 80 g flour
  • e.g. chives (frozen)
  • n. B. onion powder
  • n. B. garlic granules
  • n. B. Cheese, grated, e.g. Emmental
  • salt and pepper
  • Clarified butter for frying

hearty Kaiserschmarrn – variant for single households

In a bowl, mix the egg, flour, milk, salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like (e.g., chives, garlic, onions, cheese) thoroughly – this also works with a fork or spoon. In a nonstick pan, fry the bacon without fat until crispy. Add the egg mixture and mix everything together. When the mixture begins to thicken, add the clarified butter. Stir frequently, gently tearing and turning the bite-sized pieces. When the Kaiserquatsch is the desired brownness and firmness, serve. A little sour cream or sour cream goes well with it.
