Spicy minced meat sauce with spinach

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g leaf spinach (fresh or frozen)
  • Salt
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 40 g butter
  • 300 g minced meat, mixed
  • 500 g tomatoes, in pieces (can)
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp oregano, shredded
  • Tabasco
  • Pepper, black from the mill
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Clean and wash the spinach and blanch it in boiling salted water for 2 minutes. Rinse and drain. (Defrost frozen spinach.) Peel and finely dice the shallots and garlic. Heat the fat in a saucepan. Fry the garlic and shallots until translucent. Add the ground beef and cook for about 3 minutes, stirring. Stir in the tomato pieces, spinach, tomato paste, and oregano, and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes over low heat. Season to taste with Tabasco sauce, pepper, salt, and sugar, and stir the grated Parmesan cheese into the hot sauce.
