Spicy noodle casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • some oil
  • 250 g pasta (ribbon pasta)
  • 250 g ham
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 egg whites, beaten stiffly
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • some cheese (grated cheese)
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with cheese and ham

Bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and a few drops of oil. Bring to a boil once, stir the pasta, and cook with the lid closed. The electric hob can be set to the lowest setting. After about 15-20 minutes, drain the pasta, rinse with cold water, and drain well. Chop the ham into small pieces and mix with the egg yolk, cream, grated cheese, and seasoning. Add the pasta, mix well, and finally fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Top with fat flakes and bake at 170-190 degrees Celsius for 45-50 minutes. Shortly before the end of the baking time, sprinkle the casserole with grated cheese and let it brown until light yellow.
