Spicy vegan mushroom pâté

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g mushrooms, brown
  • 50 g cashew nuts
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp smoked salt
  • 1 pinch of marjoram
  • 1 pinch(s) thyme
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

a quick, tasty spread

Slice the mushrooms, onion, and garlic. Grind the cashews. Heat a little oil in a pan and sauté the onions until translucent. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add the mushrooms and smoked salt and sauté until browned and the mushroom liquid has evaporated. Stir in the marjoram, thyme, and a pinch of pepper, and let the mushrooms cool slightly. Place the mixture in a blender with the ground cashews and soy sauce and process into a paste. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Since the smoked salt is already very salty, only a little more salt is usually needed.
