Spicy vegetable dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry, frozen
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 onions
  • 1 leek(s)
  • 100 g mushrooms
  • 150 g ham, cooked or crab
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp condensed milk or cream
  • Cheese (grated Gouda)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Thaw the puff pastry sheets. Chop the onions, leeks, mushrooms, and cooked ham into small pieces. Heat the oil and cook the onions until translucent. Sauté the leeks, mushrooms, and cooked ham in it. Season with pepper and soy sauce, and add a little salt if desired. Pour the mixture onto the pastry sheets. Separate one egg. Brush the edges of the pastry with egg white and fold them together (to form square pockets), pressing firmly with a fork. Whisk the egg yolk with the cream and spread over the pockets. Sprinkle with grated Gouda cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Conventional oven: 200°C, Gas Mark 3, Fan oven: 170°C.
