Spiral Salad

The perfect spiral salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 750 g Fresh carrots
  • 1 piece Kohlrabi fresh with green
  • 1 piece Freshly chopped tomato
  • 2 tbsp White balsamic vinegar
  • 4 tbsp Lime olive oil
  • 4 tbsp Vegetable broth for the dressing
  • 1 pinch Sea salt fine
  • 1 pinch Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 tbsp Acacia honey
  • 1 tbsp Kohlrabi green chopped
  • 1 liter Vegetable broth for blanching own production
  • 1 tsp Mustard medium hot
  1. Wash and peel carrots and kohlrabi. Spin through the spiral.
  2. Blanch the vegetable spirals one after the other in the broth until al dente and drain in a sieve.
  3. Mix the dressing ingredients together. I took some of the blanching broth as a vegetable broth. The rest is saved.
  4. Now carefully mix the tomato pieces, carrots and kohlrabi spirals with the dressing and let it steep a little. Then season again to taste. I always rub a little ginger in for myself. But everyone can do that themselves at the table according to their taste.
  5. We like to eat the salad as a main course with garlic bread. But it is also delicious as a starter or side dish. The salad is also very tasty as a raw vegetable salad (without blanching). Anyone can do it as he wants.
