Sponge Cake with Milky Way Minis

- 250 g Soft butter
- 250 g Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 4 Free range eggs
- 500 g Flour
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 150 Milliliters Milk
- Milky Way Minis
- Whole milk couverture
- In a bowl, beat the softened butter, sugar and a pinch of salt for about 5 minutes until creamy. Gradually stir in the eggs. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir in alternately with the milk.
- Pour half of the dough into the prepared springform pan and smooth it out. Spread the Milky Way Minis on the dough and press down a little. Add the second half of the dough and spread on top.
- Now place the cake in the (convection) oven preheated to 175 degrees and bake for about 60 minutes. After the baking time, take it out of the oven, let it cool down in the tin for 20 minutes, remove the edge of the springform pan and let it cool down.
- Melt the couverture over a water bath and spread it over the cooled cake. Put the cake in the cold again until the couverture has set.
