Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 beef steak(s), thinly sliced
  • 150 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 slices of raw ham
  • 1 tbsp wine vinegar
  • ½ cup(s) brandy
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Rub the steaks with garlic cloves, wine vinegar, olive oil, and pepper. Fry them with the bay leaf in 100g butter for one minute on each side, then reduce the heat and fry for another two to three minutes per side. Season with salt and keep warm. Briefly fry the raw ham in the drippings and fry the eggs into fried eggs. Then place a slice of ham and a fried egg on each steak and keep warm. Mix the frying juices with brandy and let the alcohol evaporate. Stir in 50g butter. Finally, pour the sauce over the topped steaks and serve. Serve with any variety of potatoes, for example.
