Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 beef steaks
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 small romaine lettuce
  • 1 plum tomato(s)
  • 2 small gherkins
  • ½ cup yogurt, Greek
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 large hamburger buns
  • Garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • curry powder
  • Cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 26 minutes

Depending on your budget, season a nice beef steak (preferably rump steak, but not too thick) with salt and pepper (don’t worry, the meat will still turn out well). Preheat the pan to medium heat. Add a little oil. Add the meat to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, if desired. Then wrap it in aluminum foil and let it rest for 10 minutes. Mix the yogurt with the tomato paste and mayonnaise. Season to taste. Sugar and a little Worcestershire sauce would also be good. Lightly toast the finished hamburger buns or let them warm up. Spread the bottom half with the cream, add some of the lettuce, then the meat. More lettuce with cream. Top with a tomato slice and a gherkin. If you like, you can also add some toasted onion rings. Then add more cream. Close the hamburger. It’s best to eat it with a knife and fork, otherwise it will make a huge mess!
