Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 1 jar pearl onions (silver onions)
- 3 bell peppers, red
- 200 ml chili sauce (sweet and spicy Thai chili sauce)
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce
- 1 kg meat (beef rump, turkey breast, pork fillet or chicken breast)
- 4 tbsp oil
- 1 salt and pepper, black , ground
- Chili pepper(s), red, small
- Thyme
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Drain the pearl onions. Trim, wash, and dice the bell peppers. Mix the peppers, onions, and sauce. Trim, wash, and finely slice the lettuce. Cut the meat into strips. Heat two portions of oil in a large pan, add half of the meat, and sear for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the pan and season with salt and pepper. Fry the remaining meat in the same way. Layer the lettuce, bell peppers, and pearl onions in jars. Arrange the meat on top and serve garnished with thyme and chili pepper.
