Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 75 g lean bacon
- 1 small onion(s)
- 800 g carrot(s)
- ½ tsp sugar
- 300 ml vegetable stock
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp vinegar
- salt and pepper
- nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Thinly slice the bacon and sauté in a little butter. Chop the onion, add it, and sauté for a few minutes. Cut the carrots into thin slices or sticks and add them with the sugar. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Deglaze with broth and simmer, covered, for 10-20 minutes until soft. Combine the flour and softened butter, add to the vegetables, stir, and simmer for about 5 more minutes.
