Steamed rice with herbs

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 10 g butter
  • 1 small onion(s), 35 g
  • 1 small garlic clove(s)
  • 125 g long grain rice
  • 275 ml vegetable stock
  • Pepper, white
  • 1 tbsp herbs, chopped, of your choice
  • n. B. Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onion and garlic and dice them into small pieces. Heat the butter in a saucepan, add the diced onion, and fry over medium heat until golden brown. Stir in the garlic and rice and sauté for about 1 minute. Add the vegetable stock and a pinch of pepper, mix everything together, bring to a boil, stir again, and cover. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the rice for 20 minutes without stirring. If the liquid isn’t completely absorbed, let it simmer for about 5 minutes longer. Stir in the herbs. Season the rice to taste, adding a little salt if desired. Serve.
