Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 500 g flour
- 1 sachet of dry yeast
- 2 tsp salt
- 250 ml water, lukewarm
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- n. B. cheese, grated
- n. B. Ham cubes
- n. B. herbs
- n. B. fried onions
- n. B. Caraway powder
- e.g. sesame
- n. B. Chili pepper(s), chopped
- n. B. Olives, chopped
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes
Knead the flour, yeast, salt, and oil with a little warm water. Gradually add enough water until a smooth dough forms. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour. Then knead in the desired ingredients. The dough can also be divided and refined with different ingredients. Roll out thin dough sticks and let them rise for another 30 minutes. The sticks can now be wrapped around sticks to make stick bread and baked over the embers, or as sticks in the oven (220°C, about 10 minutes).
