Triple Sandwich

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slices of toast
  • 4 slice(s) sausage, cervelat sausage
  • 4 slices of cheese, young Gouda
  • 4 slice(s) turkey breast or chicken breast
  • Iceberg lettuce
  • Remoulade
  • butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Basic idea – for the small big hunger in between

Separate a few leaves from the iceberg lettuce and cut out the thick veins. Spread four slices of toast with butter and four with remoulade. Top the buttered slices with iceberg lettuce, then a slice of cervelat sausage. Spread a thin layer of remoulade on this and arrange the cheese on top. Then add some iceberg lettuce, and place the slice of turkey or chicken breast on top. Finally, layer another slice of iceberg lettuce and cover with the remoulade-spread slice of toast. It’s best to cut this into halves or even quarters. Press down a little so it holds together better while eating. It’s delicious for a snack between meals, or as a hors d’oeuvre at a party or while watching TV. You can also add cucumbers, tomatoes, or even a little mustard to garnish it. It’s also delicious if you spread the bread slices with cream cheese and/or pesto instead of butter/remoulade.
