Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 450 g flour
  • 50 g polenta
  • 1 tsp, heaped salt
  • 1 tsp broth, granulated
  • 1 tsp, leveled paprika powder
  • 1 tsp, leveled garlic powder
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • n. B. Oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

without yeast and egg, spicy

Combine all ingredients except the oil and mix with a mixer until you have a crumbly dough. Continue mixing, gradually adding more oil until you have a smooth dough. Form the dough into 6 balls. Shape the balls into 6 strands. Wrap the strands around the stick and hold them over the fire until they are golden brown on all sides. Tips: It must be a real fire with a fairly large flame, otherwise the strands will attract the black soot. Alternatively, the strands can be put in the oven or smoker. Grilling is not suitable. Instead of the spices, add honey, sugar and/or chocolate chips for a sweeter version. But still add a little salt.
