Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 kg flour
- 500 ml milk
- 200 g butter, soft
- 2 packets of baking powder
- 1 tbsp, heaped salt
- 1 tsp, heaped sugar
- e.g. Thyme or spice mix for farmer’s bread or similar
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Enough for about 40 sticks.
Combine the flour with baking powder, salt, sugar, and thyme. Add the softened butter and mix thoroughly. Finally, add the milk and knead well until a smooth dough forms. Roll thin rolls (less is more!) onto hazelnut sticks and hold them over the embers. The stick bread is ready when it comes off the stick without leaving any residue.
