Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 slice(s) of bread(s) (brown bread)
  • butter
  • 250 g diced ham
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 m.-large tomato(s)
  • Salt
  • pepper, black
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 gherkins
  • e.g. cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 21 minutes

Butter the bread slices. Dice the onions very finely. Quarter the tomatoes, remove the seeds and juice, then dice finely (works well with a Nicer Dicer). Mix the diced ham, onion, and tomatoes, season with pepper and salt (be careful with the salt, as ham is often quite salty!), and add a little cayenne pepper if you like. Spread the mixture on the bread slices. Fry the fried eggs and place them on the bread slices. Serve with the sliced gherkin. This is often served for breakfast for the crew. The tough guys top it off with a generous dash of chili sauce.
