Ingredients
Fruit spread strawberry basic preparation
- 1 kg Strawberries
- 1 packet Preserving sugar 2: 1
- 1 half Lemon
Variation 1: Vanilla - Chili
- 1 Vanilla pod
- 1 tsp Ground chilli flakes
Variant 2: white chocolate
- 1 White chocolate
Variation 3: coconut
- 1 tbsp Coconut flakes
- Jars with twist off lids
Instructions
Strawberry fruit spread
- Wash and clean the strawberries and cut into small pieces. Weigh 1 kg and place in a large saucepan with the preserving sugar and the juice of half a lemon. Bring to the boil, stirring constantly, and cook for 3 minutes. If you like, you can puree the whole thing with the blender. Make a gelling test and pour it immediately into jars that have been rinsed with hot water. Let the glasses cool down overhead.
Variation 1: Vanilla - Chili
- Add 1 teaspoon of ground chilli flakes and the pulp of a scraped-out vanilla pod to the strawberries and cook with them.
Variant 2: white chocolate
- Roughly chop the white chocolate and pour it into the glasses after filling. So it doesn't melt completely and you have small chocolate flakes on the bread.
Variation 3: coconut
- Before filling the jars with the fruit spread, add 1 tablespoon of coconut flakes to the jar and then pour in the fruit spread. When you turn around, the whole thing mixes up.
