Strawberry Gratin

The perfect strawberry gratin recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 tbsp Grand Marnier
  • 500 g Fresh strawberries
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 Pc. Chicken egg yolk fresh
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 packet Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 1 dl Cream
  • Powdered sugar
  1. Clean the strawberries and cut in half or into quarters, depending on their size. Mix with Grand Marnier and 2 tablespoons sugar and let it steep
  2. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees and butter the gratin dish or 4 molds very well
  3. Add egg yolk, sugar, vanilla sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of juice from the strawberry juice and whip everything into a thick, light cream then carefully mix in the whipped cream
  4. Now put the drained strawberries in the gratin dish and spread the cream over it
  5. Baked for about 10-12 minutes
  6. I served this strawberry gratin with vanilla ice cream
